The research library is located at 21 SE "D" Street in Madras. The library houses a large collection of books, films, CD's and other research material. Computers, printers, film/fiche viewers, a photocopier, and a microfilm viewer/copier are also available for use by the general public. There is a $2.00 charge for use of the facility by non-members and a nominal charge for photocopies. Internet access is also available for a $1.00 per hour fee. The normal library hours are Monday 10-1, Tuesday 10-4, Wednesday 10-4, Thursday 10-4 and Friday 1-4. The facility is staffed totally by volunteers, so it is recommended that you call ahead (541 475-9745) if you are planning a visit. For out-of-town visitors there is a call list posted on the front door. Every effort will be made to accomodate those interested in using the facility.
