JUNIPER BRANCH
OF
FAMILY FINDERS

INC.

Pride in our local, state and national history can be developed through tracing the history of our ancestors.

The Mission of Juniper Branch of Family Finders is twofold:

1.     To record the history of Jefferson County through our  families,  past and present,
and to catalogue and preserve this material for public use.

2.     To interest and assist the public in tracing family history.

In 1981, The Juniper Branch of Family Finders was formed with twenty-three  charter members. In the years following, a genealogy shelf was located at the Jefferson County Library, a film viewer as well as books, films and other research aids were added to the collection. In January 1998 we opened our own research library at 21 SE "D" Street in Madras. The library houses a large collection of books, films, CD's and other research material. Computers, printers, film/fiche viewers, a photocopier, and a microfilm viewer/copier are also available  for use by the general public. There is a $2.00 charge for use of the facility by non-members and a nominal charge for photocopies.  Internet access is also available for a $1.00 per hour fee. The library is open Mondays thru Fridays and is staffed totally by volunteers.
